Sonoma County Youth Summit
The Youth Summit is supported by the Sonoma County Black Forum, which is a 501c3 non-profit organization funded by donations and 100% operated by community volunteers. One of our missions is to educate, empower, and enlighten youth to become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and embrace the traditions, histories, and cultures of their communities. Our first annual summit provided engaging workshops, social confidence and networking opportunities. We believe this and future Summits will support initiatives that will mentor, educate and nurture young men and women so that they may become productive and positive global citizens. Students from grades 8-12 will engage in the following: Interactive presentations on critical leadership, coding, entrepreneurship, career planning, communication and life skills; Exploration of the personal, social, and emotional self that inhibit and/or enhance each individual young person’s journey towards adulthood; Introduce the young men and women to unique and engaging approaches to learning as it relates to 21st century skills; Comprehensive University Tour that exposes students to a variety of different career options that are available to them.
Join us for our 2nd Annual Youth Summit on September 21, 2019!
